Abstract

The interview in this dossier, which focuses on “Continuing training of basic education teachers: investment in the process of human emancipation”, was granted by professor Márcia de Souza Hobold to the organizers of the dossier Joana Paulin Romanowski (UNINTER, Brazil), Maria Helena Damião (FPCE-UC. Portugal) and Ilma Vieira do Nascimento (UFMA, Brazil) and performed by Joana Paulin Romanowski. The dossier focuses on continuing education based on principles of emancipation from the teacher's work, welcoming critical reflection to promote the professionalization of teachers. Márcia de Souza Hobold undergraduated in Pedagogy and Psychology, specialized in Psychopedagogy, has a master's and doctorate in Education, and a post-doctoral internship at PUCSP. She is a professor at the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC) in the discipline of Didactics in undergraduate courses and in the discipline of Teacher Education in the Master's and Doctorate Program in Education at UFSC. She was a basic education teacher for nineteen years, teaching from the early years of elementary school to acting in the pedagogical coordination of high school. She is a CNPq Research Productivity – PQ. She has a research role in the field of teacher education, with participation in associations (ANPEd, ANFOPE, RIPEFOR) and research groups marked by collaboration and volunteering in coordination and scientific committees.
