Abstract

This article aims to analyze the possibilities of personal development of teachers, conceiving corporeality as a guiding matrix for a continuing education process in teaching. The study was developed as part of a continuing education program in yoga and education and had the participation of 17 teachers working in Early Childhood Education in a Municipal Education System in the interior of São Paulo. Data were generated through semi-structured interviews. The analyzes resulted in reflections on corporeality in the context of self-knowledge and affective and social relationships. It was found that the training process promoted body awareness, respect for the limits of the body, the discovery of potential, awareness of breathing, reduction of physical pain, states of relaxation, flexibility and balance. Added to these perceptions, the teachers indicated better control of anxiety and agitation, personal reflections, socialization, self-control and tranquility. It is concluded that the training reached the personal dimension of the teachers, enhancing the manifestation and expression of corporeality through the practice and philosophy of yoga. The corporeality present in training processes can add more quality to the broad sphere time in Word with new buttons that are shown where you need them.
