Abstract

The present article analyze the new territory of Live in small cities. starting from the assumption that contemporary transformations of capitalism redefine the city function and urban structures. The living spaces were transformed, and the economic dynamics, social and spatial of capital restructuration paved the expansion of new ways of living to cities with distinct sizes and complexities. Casa Nova, from Bahia, it is the urban center that will be the focus of this paper. Research reveal the urban space transformations and the way how spatial structure, associate to the imperatives of capital in terms of new living spaces, it is in this City in terms of self-segregation. The closed residential spaces, currently, create, a new form-content of present home, also, in small cities.
