DISSENSIONS AND CONNECTIONS BETWEEN LITERATURE AND PHILOSOPHY

Abstract

This article presents a non-exhaustive investigation on the dissentions and links between literature and philosophy based on two perspectives: first, the dispute for power as valid discourse; second, the discussions on regimes of truth. For this purpose, drawing upon Philippe Sabot, William Marx, Benedito Nunes and Jeanne Marie Gagnebin, it briefly
follows the history of these relations, beginning with the first dissension, in ancient Greece, followed by some examples of French tentative hierarchizations between literary and philosophical discourses, and ending with considerations on the methodological issues involved in the constitution of links between both fields.
