UM CASO DE PARTICIPAÇÃO POPULAR NA CONSTRUÇÃO DE UMA POLÍTICA PÚBLICA: a PMEA e o ProMEA Mesquita/RJ

Abstract

Este trabalho sistematiza parte de pesquisa sobre o campo da participação popular e das políticas públicas em educação ambiental (EA), no município de Mesquita. Esta privilegiou atividades de pesquisa-ação participativas, destacando o protagonismo da comunidade envolvida, e estratégias para a geração e socializaçãode conhecimentos da EA Destaca que tal protagonismo não se deu harmonicamente, tendo em vista os diversos interesses socioambientais existentes na sociedade, bem como, a necessária formação crítica dos agentes que constituem o campo da EA e a fazem acontecer cotidianamente, em especial, no âmbito da escola.Palavras-Chave: Educação ambiental, participação popular, políticas públicas.A CASE OF POPULAR PARTICIPATION IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF A PUBLIC POLICY: the PMEA and the ProMEA Mesquita/RJAbstract: This work systematized part of research into the field of popular participation and public policy on environmental education (EE) in the municipality of Mesquita. This, activities focused participatory action research, emphasizing the role of the community involved, and strategies for generating and sharing of knowledge of environmental education. It stresses that such leadership has not harmonically, in view of the various social and environmental interests in society, as well as the necessary training agents that are critical of the EE field and which make it happen every day, especially within the school.Key words: Environmental education, public participation, public policy.
