Sound Dialogues: critical Musicality in Cyberculture and the Relevance of Music Extension Projects in Public Higher Education

In the context of artistic training required in education plans, the article reflects the importance of projects and actions in public policies that ensure access and contact with musical education in Brazil. It addresses the approach to music in curricula and in the training of educators, whether through teaching, research or extension in its different modalities. The theoretical framework is based on studies on Education, Society, Culture and Technologies, based on Pierre Levy (1999a and 1999b) and Mikhail Bakhtin (1976, 1997) and, on Schroeder and Schroeder (2011) and Simões (2003). It presents results of an Extension Project in the musical area, aimed at educators and basic education students. Uses bibliographic research data to support the continuity of educational projects. The results show that extension initiatives have contributed to the rapprochement and interest in music on a virtual platform and partnership with in-person centers.
