Abstract

In view of the 100th anniversary of the work History and Class Consciousness by G. Lukács, this paper seeks to highlight the central elements of the debate around the category of reification and its link in the debate on estrangement in the work Ontology of the Social Being. This categorical articulation, which recovers the centrality of G. Lukács' thought for
Marxism, can serve as a foundation for the development of analyzes that contribute to a better understanding of human diversity and to the adequate understanding of the dialectical relationship between human individuality/genericity.
