Abstract

This article aims to analyze the priorities and investments of the recent federal policy on youth in Brazil, especially from the governmental instruments of planning and budget. For this, it makes use of documental research for data collection, consulting the Pluriannual Plans and their budget executions, covering the period from 2012 to 2020, thus covering the government of three different heads of the executive. Data analysis provides evidence and addresses variations in three dimensions: strategies, transversality and investment. The results indicate that youth policies have been losing strategic space, transversality and investment over the last few years. Especially in the planning of the last administration, referring to the government of President Jair Bolsonaro.
