Abstract

This article makes a brief historical overview of Brazilian neoliberalism in order to think about possible paths today, based on the idea of “neoliberalismo desde abajo", territory, lived space and public action. Through theoretical, reflective and documental study, it aims to understand the relationship between the models of neoliberalism in Brazilian territory and neoliberalism practiced in lived space, considered here as neoliberalism of resistance. It reveals that social inequalities have not only reproduced, but have been the basis for public policies and are the result of the capitalist development process. These inequalities are intensified with the advent of neoliberalism; however, they are daily reinvented in the territory, disturb hegemony, and can help make public action viable.
