Abstract

This article is the result of a coordinated panel presented at Joinp 2021, composed of 2 Colombian and 2 Brazilian professors, seeks to discuss the current situation of the capitalist system and its destructive relationship with nature, which produces dramatic consequences such as diseases, epidemics and the covid pandemic. -19, with profound consequences for the economy, in the concentration and accumulation of wealth and an increase in poverty, as well as in class struggles in various parts of the world, especially in South America. It brings an analysis of the small gold mining in Colombia that represents 80% of the annual production of gold and is marked by relations of informality and "illegality" typical of the economic and political structure of the country, a condition that makes it an expression of work vulnerable to being captured by clandestine capital, usurers and criminals, who are responsible for financing and / or extorting the stages of the value chain, (extraction, profit and commercialization) and all the complexity and multiple subtleties to cover up the “illegality” of gold, laundering money and continue the international trade route. It also presents Contributions to understand the National Paro of 2021 in Colombia, as anexpression of the capitalist crisis" presents an approach to the greatest social mobilization carried out in that country during the 21st century, understanding this protest as an expression of the capitalist crisis, both in its most (in the Coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic) It also analyzes the anti-racist struggles today through the recent phenomenon that are the toppling of statues in the USA and Latin America by social movements.
