POETRY MORE THAN MARANHENSE IN THE NATIONAL SCENARIO

the poetics of Litania da velha, by Arlete Nogueira da Cruz, and her inscription in the Brazilian Literature

Abstract

This article deals with a late 20th century production written by a Maranhão poet. This is Litany of the old woman, Arlete Nogueira da Cruz. In turn, it aims to discuss about aspects of its production and the importance of poetry written by Arlete Nogueira, for the construction of a literature more than Maranhão. Thus, it is verified that Artele inscribes in the national literature a work of great value, not only stylistic, metaphorical, artistic, but also historical and
representative. The poem represents part of the history of the old city of São Luís, as well as indicates a concern with the national historical heritage, the history and life of the Brazilian people. Maranhão poetry, as it once once expands beyond the territory in which horizons are born and expands, scramuing our roots, our people and the beauty of the word that springs from every corner of our immense nation.
