MANIPULAÇÃO EM MARCHA: uma análise do discurso jornalístico do newsreel em Cidadão Kane

RESUMO: O artigo propõe uma investigação ao discurso do cinejornal News on the March de Cidadão Kane. Tomando como ponto de partida as definições do formato newsreel como base para compreender sua linguagem, bem como reflexões sobre a narrativa jornalística, o objetivo é analisar como se desenvolve a manipulação em News on the March. Apoiamo-nos para tal finalidade na teoria sociocognitiva de Van Dijk (2010) e no processo de reconstrução midiática da figura pública que se apresenta como questão norteadora da pesquisa.

ABSTRACT: The paper proposes an investigation to the discourse of the Citizen Kane's newsreel News On the March. Taking as a starting point the definitions of the newsreel format as a basis to understand its language, as well as reflections on the journalistic narrative, the objective is to analyze how the manipulation is developed in News on the March. We rely for this purpose on the socio-cognitive theory of Van Dijk (2010) and the mediatic reconstruction process of the public figure that shows itself as a guiding question to the research.
