Abstract

The objective of this article is to explain the contextual elements that allowed the emergence of the debate around the Enlightenment in Germany in the 18th century, highlighting the communicational aspect of this cultural phenomenon, especially the way in which the circulation of newspapers and magazines of the time contributed to this. The exhibition will be held in two moments. The first seeks to identify the characteristics of the Germanic context and how such a conjuncture produced the peculiarities of the debate on the Aufklärung. In the second, the preliminary question that started the aforementioned debate will be explained, also identifying some of the articles published at the time as a result of this process, suggesting that this event was made possible by communication and media conditions of that period.
