ESTÉTICA DO HORROR: a cobertura da morte no jornal Itaqui-Bacanga

Resumo

RESUMO: Neste artigo investigamos a cobertura da morte no Jornal Itaqui-Bacanga, impresso de circulação semanal em São Luís/MA, e a propagação de fotografias de corpos em situações inumanas, remetendo ao grotesco. Partimos da premissa de que o jornal Itaqui-Bacanga explora regimes estéticos específicos que visam criar certo “horror” para “chocar” seus leitores. Buscamos compreender o potencial de comunicabilidade deste periódico a partir da noção de experiência estética e da produção de sentidos gerada nessa experiência.

ABSTRACT: In this article we investigate the coverage of death in the Itaqui-Bacanga printed newspaper, the weekly circulation impression in São Luís / MA, and the propagation of photographs of bodies in inhuman situations, referring to the grotesque. We start from the premise of which the Itaqui-Bacanga newspaper explores specific aesthetic regimes that aim to create a certain "horror" to "shock" its readers. We seek to understand the newspaper's potential for communicability from the notion of aesthetic experience and the production of meanings generated in that experience. KEYWORDS: Violence.
