THE WAITING ROOM AS A HEALTH EDUCATION STRATEGY IN THE CONTEXT OF PRIMARY CARE

Abstract

New health education strategies are important. The waiting room is a place where these practices can be enhanced. This work is an experience report on activities carried out in the waiting room of a Basic Health Unit in the city of Santa Cruz-RN, between April and May 2022. Four rooms were held with different themes, with participation of, on average, 30 users in each meeting. It was seen that educational actions carried out in the waiting room provided a greater connection of the bond of trust with the population and exchange of experiences and knowledge.
