“I WANT TO BE PART OF IT...”Conectando Autobiografia, Estetização da Existência e Imagens Amadoras em Pacific

Resumo

RESUMO: A partir de conceitos como performance e o cotidiano, este artigo parte de uma análise do documentário Pacific (2011) e de uma entrevista com seu diretor, Marcelo Pedroso, para refletir sobre as nuances autobiográficas do longa. Atravessando as relações possíveis com as imagens amadoras e a diversidade de formas de representação de si na contemporaneidade (como reality shows, blogs, vlogs etc.), comentam-se os tangenciamentos entre o artifício e o “real” a partir da publicização de imagens e narrativas de si, investigando, inicialmente, como este processo se exibe como sintoma de uma saturação das narrativas e representações “ficcionalizadas”.

ABSTRACT: This article starts from concepts like performance and the everyday life and realizes an analisys of the documentary film Pacific (2011), and an interview with its director, Marcelo Pedroso, to reflect on the autobiographical nuances of the film. Going through the possible relations with the amateur images and the diversity of forms of representation of themselves in contemporary (as reality shows, blogs, vlogs etc.), the argumentation aims to discuss the approaches between the device and the "real" from the publication of images and narratives of self, investigating how this process is exhibited as a symptom of a saturation of "fictionalized" narratives and representations.
