Abstract

This report presents the experience lived at the Olympic Lyceum, a mathematics training center focused on preparing students for the Brazilian Mathematics Olympiad for Public Schools (OBMEP). Starting from a contextualization of the role of mathematics olympiads in Brazil, the pedagogical practices, the challenges faced, and the impacts observed on student development are described. The text highlights how the Olympic Lyceum is configured as a space for intellectual, social, and emotional development, contributing to the democratization of access to high-level mathematics education.
