ACONSELHAMENTO TERAPÊUTICO E MEDICALIZAÇÃO

Resumo

A modalidade de atenção clínica conhecida por Aconselhamento Terapêutico (AT) pressupõe uma construção e reflexão permanentes de suas ações, teorias de intervenção e a quem ele serve (uma concepção própria do humano). Minha intenção aqui é identificar como o pensar medicalizante pode influir nos contornos e nas direções do AT, pervertendo sua identidade de origem, ancorada nas psicologias existenciais-humanistas, em específico a Abordagem Centrada na Pessoa (ACP), pano de fundo de minha fala. Isto posto, pretendo aqui discorrer o que entendo por AT, explicitando suas características principais dentro do enfoque da ACP; descrever o que é a “atitude medicalizante” e sua influência no AT; e findar com algumas reflexões acerca de implicações éticas do campo clínico onde, também, o AT se insere.

Abstract

The modality of clinical attention known as Therapeutic Advice (TA), presupposes a construction and permanent reflection of their actions, theories of intervention and whom he serves (its own conception of the human being). My intention here is to identify how the thinking medicalizing perspective can influence the contours and the directions of the TA, perverting its identity, anchored in existential-humanistic psychologies, in particular the Person-Centered Approach (PCA), backdrop of my speech. That being said, I am here to discuss what I understand by TA, explaining its main characteristics within the focus of PCA; describe what is "medicalizing attitude perspective" and its influence on the TA; and ending with some reflections on ethical implications of clinical field where, also, the TA is inserted.
