UM OLHAR SOBRE OS ASPECTOS LINGUÍSTICOS DA LÍNGUA BRASILEIRA DE SINAIS

Résumé

Abordam-se os aspectos linguísticos das línguas de sinais, especificamente da Língua Brasileira de Sinais (Libras). Apresentam-se as características comuns às
línguas naturais, tais como variações linguísticas, iconicidade, arbitrariedade. Discorrese também sobre os níveis linguísticos, fonológico, morfológico e sintático,
relacionando-os com a organização estrutural de Libras. Objetiva-se constatar e enfatizar o status linguístico de Libras através das questões apresentadas. Ratifica-se a
Libras como língua natural, pois fornece aos seus usuários mecanismos linguísticos para a produção de diferentes gêneros, textos e discursos. Os estudos em questão foram
fundamentados em pesquisas bibliográficas.

Abstract

This study focuses the linguistic aspects of the Sign Language, specifically Brazilian Sign Language (Libras). It shows the common characteristics of natural languages, such as linguistic variations, iconicity, arbitrariness, as well as different levels of language, phonological, morphological and syntactic, relating them to the structural organization of Libras. It aims to verify and to emphasize the linguistic status of Libras through the issues presented. It confirms Libras as a natural language,
for it provides the speakers linguistic mechanisms for the production of different genres, texts and speeches. This study is based on the literature research.
